Volunteer Service
Community Volunteers Help Copperopolis
Volunteers that help Copperopolis help all of us in the community. As a very small town, we do not have the resources to clean, maintain, monitor or facilitate the community center, organic garden, event hall or other planned events without the help of our own folks that take interest. Creative Copperopolis—a 501c3 non profit mutual benefit organization— administers the work force for the tasks at hand. All tasks are community orientated and not aimed at private enterprise. Most volunteers stay within the organization for a long term relationship because of the mutual feeling of support and accomplishment gathered by the effort of community volunteering

Community Awards
CAMS - Calaveras Arts and Music Show
Creative Copperopolis calls for our community to recognize local talent.
The annual Calaveras Arts and Music Show (CAMS) recognition awards are based on recognition - not votes. The motherlode is an incubator of excellent talent. The CAMS networks our best entertainers and showcases them to the world. This year’s show will be recorded for broadcast.

Mobil Recording
Bruce Champion Sound and Video
Bruce Champion has been a sound guy for many years. He has stories and experiences about sound jobs that he has done throughout the years that stacks up the do’s and don’ts of live job sound reinforcement and recording. His truck has been built with live raw tracking in mind bringing real time tracking ready for editing and mixing in post production. He drives up, sets up, lays it down and drives away with everything done live down on “tape”
(although everything is digital now, us older folks still call it tape!)

Community Markets
Night Markets
These open air markets make available merchandise and services to the community that may not be available because of the lack of stores or commercial space. These events are held in the parking lot of the Copperopolis Community Center, The Square at Copper Valley, or on the compound of Creative Copperopolis. Some are held at night under the bright flood lights.

Community Garden
Farm to Fork
The community garden is open to all who become a member. We are a member of the Saddle Creek Garden Club and have affiliations with farmers in the County. Lead by volunteers and community residents in or near Copperopolis. Together, with others from our area, we believe that fruit, vegetable and herb gardens are necessary in contributing to a healthy lifestyle by providing fresh food for our families and neighbors. We are creating a network of community gardens throughout Copperopolis with a cooperative effort of sharing, education and networking. Formed by residents, lead by volunteers and guided by our local garden clubs and Master Gardeners, Creative Copperopolis has dedicated this 1/8 acre fenced in garden area for Farm to Fork ingredients to be used by the community for community events and efforts. Come check it out and be a part of it!

Non Profit Record Label
Promoting Local Artists with guided distrabution
Big 7 Records was a record company based out of Copperopolis California but operated out of Nashville owned by Dennis Sanfilippo, Dickie Franko and Richard Varrasso. There are many songs and a couple of movies floating around the catalog that are now being bought forth to one central location and the label will be revived after the loss of both partners. The new direction after the history and legacy is recast, will be on local artists and the promotion of their music and live performances around the Motherlode area.
